Getting Started Quickly with Keeping
In recent weeks, we've been working hard to improve your first experience with Keeping. Previously, you could start tracking time immediately, but you had to figure out how to set up projects, tasks, and clients on your own. We thought we could do better!
Personalized Introduction
One of the first questions in the introduction is which industry you work in. Of course, as developers, we find this interesting, but we also use this information to tailor examples in the introduction to your industry. We hope this helps to communicate clearly how you can use Keeping.
No surprises, you can see exactly how you'll track your time.
See How You’ll Track Your Time
In addition to personalized examples, the introduction includes an abstract representation of how time entries are made. Throughout the introduction, you make choices—such as whether or not to use projects or how you want to log your time.
This abstract view updates based on your selections, so you can clearly see what you've chosen. Each choice is also explained, detailing why it may be beneficial for you.
No Surprises
Once you complete the introduction, you’ll have Keeping set up just the way you like it, and you’ll be familiar with some of Keeping’s features. You’ll also know exactly how you’ll be entering your time, so there won’t be any surprises once you start using Keeping.
Would you prefer to log your time differently? Or change tasks and/or projects? You can still adjust these settings within Keeping, and we’ll be improving the settings menu soon.
