Publishing tasks and projects

In addition to archiving tasks and projects, it can be useful to prepare tasks or projects in advance, or temporarily disable them. This is possible by (un)publishing tasks and projects.

(Un)publishing

It has always been possible to archive a task or project. However, archived tasks or projects cannot be edited.

That is why publishing has been added. It can be useful to configure a task or project in advance without allowing it to be selected for time tracking.

It can also be useful to temporarily deactivate a task or project without moving it to the archive.

Difference compared to archiving

When a task or project is archived, it cannot be edited and it no longer counts toward the number of active tasks or projects.

An unpublished task or project, however, remains editable and still counts as an active task or project. An unpublished task or project can still be archived, but it can also be deleted if no time registrations have yet been written to it.
