Update: A Completely New Style, Features, and Structure!

Today, after several years, we’re saying goodbye to the classic Keeping style, introducing a completely new look with fresh colors! This functional new style aligns perfectly with Keeping’s user-friendliness, and by restructuring the menu, we are set for current and future features.

The New Menu

The new menu builds upon Keeping’s familiar, two-layer centered menu, ensuring clarity about which part of the application you’re in. The biggest change is the reorganisation of menu items. Previously, Clients, Projects, and Tasks were listed under Settings; now, they’re under Management. This reorganisation makes room for new management features in the Pro plan: Tags and Rates.

We also found that the Import and Export functions weren’t always easy to locate, so they now have a more prominent position under Settings.

Additionally, Reports have been replaced in the main menu by Overviews, and Invoices, previously found under Reports, now have their own spot in the main menu. The Overviews section now includes various report types: Hours Report, My Report, Budget Report, and Submitted Hours. The Budget and Submitted Hours reports are new features included in the Pro plan.

Tabs Replaced with Vertical Menus

Previously, a third layer of the menu was implemented using tabs. To provide more space for various functions, the tabs have been replaced with a vertical menu.

Expanded Preferences

In addition to visual updates to Keeping’s structure, we’ve added several new preference options. For example, you can now select a preferred organisation, ensuring you land in the correct organisation immediately upon logging in. Specific options for developers can also be toggled on and off, and we now offer an outstanding dark mode option.
