Invoice Hours Worked with Moneybird and Keeping
As part of our new Plus subscription, we’ve introduced a brand-new integration with Moneybird, making it even easier and more accurate to invoice all your hours. Today, we’ll dive deeper into the Moneybird integration and highlight some unique aspects of this feature.
A Plus subscription with Keeping is required to link to an invoicing program. Additionally, a separate Moneybird account is required. A Moneybird subscription, if needed, is not included.
What is Moneybird?
Moneybird is an online accounting program that allows you to organize your company’s accounting in a smart and user-friendly way. As an entrepreneur, you naturally want to spend as little time as possible on administration and as much as possible on your core activities. Like Keeping, Moneybird helps you achieve this.
Create New Invoices Based on Hours Worked
We’ve all been there: you’ve completed a project after several weeks and now need to send an invoice based on the effort and results delivered. Quickly open Keeping, download a report in Excel, and move to Moneybird to create your invoice. There’s got to be a faster, better, and more accurate way, right? Exactly!
Now, you can create an invoice directly from your reports with just a few clicks. Adjust the invoice to your liking using the extensive selection options, and then send it to your Moneybird administration. Once there, review the invoice one last time and click send.
That’s it: your invoice, based on exact hours in Keeping, has now been sent. Convenient and precise.
Associate Previously Sent Invoices
What if I already sent the invoice earlier? No problem, you can also associate previously sent invoices with your hours in Keeping. It’s done in a similar way. In Keeping, you’ll see a list of invoices with which you can associate hours; then, select which hours to include and specify the hours distribution. Done! You now have insight into the revenue of your associated invoices directly within Keeping.
Revenue from Your Hours, Directly in Your Reports
At Keeping, we wanted to go beyond just easy invoicing, so we’ve made it possible to display all your invoicing revenue in your Keeping reports. This way, you stay on top of things and can always track the ratio of billed to unbilled hours. Especially handy if you want to assess a project based on hard data!

Distinguish Between Direct and Indirect Hours
To make invoicing with Moneybird and Keeping even easier, you can now differentiate between direct and indirect hours. This is useful because not all hours can be billed to a client. You can specify per project and task which hours should be marked as direct hours and which should not, keeping it simple.
When creating or associating an invoice, you can choose whether to include only direct hours or to also add indirect hours to your invoice, providing flexibility.
