Subscriptions

What is the fair pricing model?

It’s also a good idea to check the pricing page beforehand.
Note: Make sure you’re logged in as the organisation owner; only the owner can adjust subscription settings.

Fair Pricing Model

After trying Keeping, you may want to upgrade to a subscription to take your time tracking to the next level. At Keeping, we’re transparent about our subscription system to ensure there are no surprises. Our fair pricing model means you only pay for what you actually use.

This page explains Keeping’s pricing model, its structure, and the advantages of our approach compared to other models.

We track the number of active users daily, whether you archive users yourself or if someone hasn’t logged in for a while. We consider a user inactive if they haven’t logged in for 180 days.

Unlike other software packages, we don’t use seats or seat management.

Example Calculation

The following example assumes an organisation with 30 users and a Plus subscription billed annually.

Keeping Pricing Model

We know it can be hard to predict how many users you’ll need for an entire year. At Keeping, we make it simpler with our fair pricing model: you only pay for what you actually use. If you subscribe for 30 users but have only 20 active users after six months, we credit the cost of inactive users from the moment they’re marked inactive. This credit can be applied to your future bill.

Under our model, with a Plus subscription for 30 users but only 20 active users, you would pay as follows:

Monthly rate per year: 30 active users × €6.75 × 12 months = €2,430
Annual rate per year: 30 active users × €5.40 × 12 months = €1,944
Accrued credit on an annual basis: 10 inactive users × €5.40 × 6 months = €324

Credits accumulated through our pricing model are automatically applied to your next bill. Credits are not paid out, and we check daily to see if anything needs adjusting, so this example is simplified.

In Comparison, a Typical Pricing Model

Most time tracking software charges per user, regardless of whether the user is actually active. If you purchase a 30-user package and only 20 remain active after six months, you still pay for all 30 users you initially requested.

Under a typical model, with a comparable subscription for 30 users but only 20 active users, you would pay as follows:

Monthly rate per year: 30 active users × €6.75 × 12 months = €2,430
Annual rate per year: 30 active users × €5.40 × 12 months = €1,944
Accrued credit on an annual basis: 10 inactive users for 6 months = €0
