Using Github with Keeping
To integrate with an external project management program, you need at least Keeping Plus. A separate GitHub account is required, and any necessary GitHub subscription is not included.

The Keeping button is located in two places in GitHub.
In the issue list and pull request list of GitHub, the Keeping button appears next to each issue and pull request.

To the right of the title and the New issue button, you’ll see the Keeping button:

How Do I Start a New Time Tracking via GitHub?
You can start a new time tracking entry directly from GitHub by using the Keeping button in the detail view or in one of the list views of a GitHub item.

Click the green + button to start a time tracking.
GitHub Item Is Linked Immediately When Starting Time Tracking
In the new window that appears, you can fill in the details of your time tracking and click start. The GitHub item you clicked on is automatically linked to the new time tracking.

How Do I Link an Ongoing Time Tracking to a GitHub Item?
If you have an ongoing time tracking in Keeping, you can use the extension directly in GitHub to link the current time tracking to a GitHub item.

This is an ongoing time tracking without a link.
Creating the Link
In GitHub, navigate to an item and use the blue link button.

The blue button indicates that an ongoing time tracking can be linked to this item.
Your Time Tracking Is Now Linked
The link with the GitHub item is now complete!

The timer shows that the GitHub item has been successfully linked.
