Create a new invoice in e-Boekhouden.nl
To link with an invoicing program, you need at least a Keeping Plus subscription. Additionally, a separate e-Boekhouden.nl account is required, and the necessary e-Boekhouden.nl subscription is not included.
Once you have linked Keeping with e-Boekhouden.nl, you can create e-Boekhouden.nl invoices directly from Keeping.
Creating an Invoice
You can create a new invoice in several ways, for instance, using the New Invoice button in the invoice overview screen or by using the toolbar in reports to use the current report view as input.
In the example below, we create an invoice via Invoices.
In the overview of associated invoices, click the New Invoice button.
The Invoice Screen
First, select the integration you want to use for invoicing at the top right. Then select the hours you want to include on the invoice:
This screen shows all relevant details for the hours included in your invoice. Here, you can specify the date range and filter by project, customer, task, and team member.
Extra Options
You can also use extra options to further refine your selection:
Here you have options to include already invoiced hours, only uninvoiced hours, or even exclude already invoiced hours. You can also choose to include indirect hours or only direct hours.

Determining the Invoice Amount
You have several ways to set the rate:
Choose how the rate is determined:
- Hourly rate for the entire invoice: all hours are billed at the specified hourly rate;
- Hourly rate per invoice line item, specifying an hourly rate per line;
- A fixed amount per line item;
- A total amount for the entire invoice.
Additionally, you can choose to round hours to whole hours, half hours, quarters, 10 minutes, or 5 minutes, or not round them at all.
Breaking Down Invoice Line Items
A key part of specifying your invoice is choosing the breakdown of the line items. This adds a great deal of detail to your billing.
You can choose to break down the invoice by project, team member, task, or customer. Alternatively, you can also break it down by time period, such as days, weeks, months, quarters, or years.
A breakdown by task with an hourly rate per line item might look as follows:
Once you've finished selecting hours, click Continue in e-Boekhouden.nl.
To e-Boekhouden.nl
You will be redirected to your e-Boekhouden.nl environment, where you can review the invoice and specify the customer before sending it.
Note: Keeping creates a special customer with the code
NO_RELATION. New invoices are always linked to this customer, and you can then change the customer in e-Boekhouden.nl.We link invoice line items to the general ledger account numbered
8000. This should be an income statement account. If account8000does not exist, Keeping will attempt to create it in e-Boekhouden.nl.
Back to Keeping
When you return to Keeping, you will immediately see the invoice revenue in the relevant report, making it easy to track how your recorded hours compare to your invoiced hours.
